On Saturday, October 13th, at 3:00, members of the Central School Gardeners and their families are invited to Beaver Brook Pumpkin Farm in East Bridgewater for a tour and pumpkin painting activity. (Please note that you need to accompany your child or children to the farm.) Although the CSG will cover the $5 fee for all members who come to the farm, all additional family members (parents and siblings) will be charged $5.00 each. This is a special rate for Garden Club members and their families. We are excited to check out Beaver Brook Farm’s new tractor ride that includes a guide, who will share farm folklore and facts. And be sure to come dressed to paint!
Beaver Brook Farm is located at 645 Summer Street in East Bridgewater. Owners Brian and Katie Cavanagh operate a chemical-free, pick-your-own pumpkin business on 9 acres of farmland. Pumpkins, gourds, winter squash, and other local products are sold at the on-site farm stand. Katie, like her mother, Norma, grew up on the farm. Five seasons ago she started the PYO operation with her husband. For more information, please visit beaverbrookfarm.wordpress.com/october-farm-events.
We hope you will join us in supporting a local family farm at this annual event! The rain date for the farm visit is October 14th at 3:00.
